The recreational area in Vadul lui Voda town is still in danger of flooding. The water level in the Dniester in Vadul lui Voda town increased significantly as a result of the persistent heavy rain. Two health resorts and the beach are now under the water. The activity of 24 economic entities is endangered. <\/p>\n

At Monday’s meeting of the Chisinau City Hall, the Mayor of Vadul lui Voda town Iurie Onofriiciuc said that the situation is now under control. The population was warned, while the risk zone is patrolled by the police every two-three hours. <\/p>\n

Under an ordinance issued by the Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca, about 1,100 children were evacuated on July 26 from the camps located in Vadul lui Voda. Half of them were accommodated at schools in Ciocana district of Chisinau, while the rest were taken home by the parents. The access to the zone is restricted. The police help the people without means of transport to get to points from where they could take public transport. <\/p>\n
