The police this year have discovered 719 offences committed by minors. Most of the minor offenders do not attend school. <\/p>\n

Compared with a year before, the number of murders committed by minors rose by 60% to eight cases, of thefts – by 50% to 10 cases, of hooliganism cases – by 32 to 29. <\/p>\n

According to the Ministry of the Interior, the problem of criminality and inadequate behavior among minors is one of the most serious in Moldova, caused by poverty, abuse of alcohol, passivity on the part of the society etc. <\/p>\n
