Forty-two of the decisions passed by the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) against Moldova have not been implemented or were implemented with delay. <\/p>\n

According to the organization “Jurists for Human Rights”, as a rule, the term for implementing a court decision that exceeds 12 months is considered by the ECHR as unreasonable. The periods within which the ECHR decisions against Moldova have not been implemented vary between 12 months and 20 days (Deordiev and Deordiev versus Moldova, decision of October 16, 2007) to about 10 years (Mizernaia versus Moldova, decision of September 25, 2007). <\/p>\n

According to the quoted source, the violation of the right to the protection of property was ascertained in 59 of the 123 decisions passed by the ECHR against Moldova. <\/p>\n

Among the cases in which the Government of Moldova was obliged to pay considerable damages are Oferta Plus (2.535,1 million euros), Bimer SA (520,000 euros), VIAS Bank (301,000 euros), Nistas GmbH (64,900 euros) and Venera-Nord-Vest Borta AG (31,300 euros).
