Such a statement was made by the head of the Capital Constructions Division Vasile Panfil at Monday&rsquo;s meeting of the Chisinau City Hall. <\/p>\n<p>According to him, these metals seriously pollute the environment and it is very difficult to remove them from an ecosystem. Panfil said that these pollutants should be treated in the same way as the radioactive waste. <\/p>\n<p>The cited source stressed that there are 550,000 cubic meters of mud in Valea Morilor lake. Another 100,000 cubic meters of mud were transported to Vatra village last year. Panfil said that this mud must be taken to special places because its components can cause an ecological catastrophe. <\/p>\n<p>The Chisinau natural system Valea Morilor, which includes a lake and a park, was set up in 1952. It occupies an area of 2,050 hectares.
