They come from Azerbaidjan, Georgia and Turkmenistan, who have their permanent residence in the Republic of Moldova. <\/p>\n<p>At the same time, president Vladimir Voronin permitted nine former citizens of the Republic of Moldova to regain their citizenship. <\/p>\n<p>The legislation in effect of the Republic of Moldova admits double citizenship. The changes in effect were initiated a few years ago by the Moldovan president. At the same time, a law project adopted before by the Parliament, prohibits persons with double citizenship to working in public functions.
