The criminal authority Malhaz was retained by the police when entering Moldova, Operative Services Department Head within Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI) Ghenadie Cosovan has said. <\/p>\n

Malhaz Djaparidze of 44 years old was arrested by the law authorities of Moldova for committing more offences, Ghenadie Cosovan said at a press conference. <\/p>\n

“Currently, he is in the DSO isolator and, during 24 hours, will be presented to the court instance that will decide where he is to be detained”, Cosovan said. <\/p>\n

On March 25, the law authorities of Ukraine decided to expel Malhaz following his illegal stay in Ukraine, using a forged passport on the name of Gheorghe Popescu, according to the quoted source. <\/p>\n

Malhaz will be examined in three cases for drugs consumption, fraudulent passing of the state border and for using forged passport, the police says. <\/p>\n

On March 24, the Court of Appeal of Odessa decided to free Malhaz Djaparidze, according to the press from Kiev. The instance would have set him free following a letter of the Ukrainian Minister of Justice referring to more European legislative acts. The letter says, according to the press, that Ukraine refused to extradite Malhaz to Moldova at the request of the Moldovan Mister of Justice. To his part, the Minister of Justice from Chisinau said they received no official notice about that. <\/p>\n

On February 13, 2008, Malhaz Djaparidze was arrested in Herson. He disappeared, on July 18, 2007, from the prison-like camps, helped by two policemen. They accompanied Malhaz with their own car to a bath place in Durlesti, at the outskirts of Chisinau, the prosecutors said. <\/p>\n

The criminal authority Malhaz Djaparidze that was formerly thrice convicted for theft was sentenced, in early august 2007, by the Court of Appeal to one and a half years imprisonment.
