Moldova will present a collection of eight volumes “The Flora and Fauna of Moldova” in the frame of the international exhibition of inventions, new equipment and technologies, which will take place in Geneve on April 2-6. <\/p>\n

Academic Secretary of the biology, chemistry and ecology department of the Academy of Sciences Ion Toderas told Infotag that this edition reflects Moldova’s achievements in preserving the biological diversity. <\/p>\n

In his words, 16 Moldovan scientists will participate in this forum. Ten of them were subsidized by the AGEPI, and six found independent sponsors. <\/p>\n

“Each section of the Academy of Sciences prepared 2-3 works. The Moldovan and Russian Academies will jointly present a paper on the methods for combating biologically vernal encephalitis. The invention of new preparations on reducing the collapse of bee families, the strengthening of their immunity (Academy of Sciences, Medical University and State University) is of a great importance, as bees provide 90% of plant pollination”, the scientist said. <\/p>\n

He remarked that works on suppressing cancer cells, working out anti-oxidants for combating pant pests, nano-technologies have also a great importance. <\/p>\n

“The arrangement of a stand costs 1.38 thousand euros. Moldova participates in such forum for the ninth time. Representatives of more than 45 countries will present more than 1000 inventions at this exhibition. The exhibition’s objective is the promotion of newest developments on the international level. Special premiums and diplomas will be conferred on best innovations”, Toderas said. <\/p>\n
