At least 175 accidents at labour places, which resulted into 54 dead people, were registered in 2007 at the enterprises and organizations of Moldova. <\/p>\n

Overall, about 370 accidents involved people, as a result of which almost two hundred employees had to suffer, according to General Prosecutor’s Office. There were nine women and nine minors among the victims. <\/p>\n

Most of the accidents which resulted into death are registered at the enterprises of constructions, social services, agriculture and transport. <\/p>\n

The prosecutors submitted the administrations of the enterprises 27 notifications and requested the labour legislation to be followed, and the causes and conditions that favour the traumatisms at the labour places to be avoided. <\/p>\n

Just in January-July 2007, the labour inspectorates registered over 30 thousand infringements and deviations from the normative acts regarding the labour protection. They concluded about 610 minutes on these cases, sanctioning administratively 411 people with responsibility functions, and 248 decisional bodies were fined with about 400 thousand lei. <\/p>\n
