The author of less usual paintings is Ana Iepuras from the village of Sipoteni, district of Calarasi. Ana makes her works of stones, conches, shell snails, fish tails, glass, sand and canvas, DECA-press Agency transmits.
\nThe idea to make paintaings came to her mind three years ago. At present, she has got an amount of 27 works.
\nThe first works the 45-year-old Ana has made in 2005, in Moscow, while she was in a visit with her husband. The first works were made of leaves and strawberries. After that, she started „to paint” works of gravel. Seven of the works made in Moscow were brought to Moldova.
\nShe started to made paintings of conches and stones when she was in a vacation in Yalta, on the seashore. There, at the seaside, she gathered a bag full of different conches and gravel. In Moldova, she remembered about the sea and made a series of paintings on this topic.
\nA painter appreciated her works a lot and suggested Ana to exhibit her paintings not only in order to show them to the world, but to sell them too.
\nAna’s first exhibition was organized in 2006, at Moldexpo. After that, last year, she organized one more exhibition. Ana Iepuras dispays her works at the Ministry of Defence, and with the help of some friends, the works will be exhibited at the US Embassy to the Republic of Moldova.
\nHer first painting was bought for the price of 800 lei by a person who came together with president Vladimir Voronin at a holiday in the village of Sipoteni. After that, a painting was sold for 100 USD at the last year exhibition from Moldexpo. At present, the prices for Ana’s works vary from 100 USD to 200 USD. The artist says that in her collection, she has got three paintings which she will never sell.
