The inhabitants of Cornesti town, which is a part of the district of Ungheni, will confront this year a deficit of qualitative potable water, DECA-press Agency communicates.
\nIn the state budget for this year, there are no funds provided for delivering water to the locality, even if, according to a decision of the Government regarding the improvement of the social-economical situation of the localities from the district of Ungheni situated in the region of Cula river for the years 2006-2015, in 2007-2008, 4,6 million lei had to be allocated for this purpose.
\nThe mayor of Cornesti, Ion Soltoianu, asserts that he had addressed demands to a series of law courts, including at the Government and at „Apele Moldovei”, in order to be helped to solve this problem. But I didn’t receive any reply so far, and the budget of the mayoralty of 3 million lei cannot cover all the costs”, the mayor specified.
