The Anticorruption Alliance will monitor, during 14 months, areas like justice, health, police and customs service, which are the most affected by corruption in Moldova.
\nThe members of the Anticorruption Alliance will monitor the activities of reducing and preventing corruption in the mentioned systems, exposed to this phenomenon, Director of Program Consolidation of the Monitoring Capacities of the Civil Society of Moldova Sharon Von Pelt said at the 23 January press conference.
\nThe experts will use a monitoring methodology adjusted to the conditions of the republic by a group of national and international specialists, in line with a model applied in Bulgaria. “The monitoring instruments will be the polls, interviews, studies of the official documents and the materials from the press”, Von Pelt added.
\nThe monitoring activities aim at evaluating the degree of transparency and the capacities of the public institutions in preventing and combating corruption. At the end of the monitoring process, they will propose legal and institutional recommendations that would improve the governing degree.
\nThe Agency of Supporting Juridical Education and Law Bodies Ex-Lege will monitor the juridical system, the Center of Resources for the Human Rights – the health sector, the centre Pro Marchall – the customs service and the police sector, Transparency International Moldova – the fiscal system, and the Centre of Analysis and Prevention of Corruption – to the Centre of Combating Economic Crimes and Corruption.
