Due to the results of the opinion poll performed on the portal www.moldova.org, the coat of arms and the flag of the Republic of Moldova should not be changed. <\/p>\n

The poll maintained between December 25, 2007 and January 19, 2008, shows that 77.36% from visitors think that the flag and the coat of arms of the Republic of Moldova should remain the way they are, and only 22.64% support the opinion that these should be changed. <\/p>\n

It is important to mention that at the end of 2005 year, the president of the Republic of Moldova, Vladimir Voronin declared, at a traditional press conference, that he will not give up the idea to change the name of the teaching language in schools, and even to change the coat of arms and the flag of the Republic of Moldova. According to Mr. Vladimir Voronin these appeared „over night”, and do not represent”an historical fact”. <\/p>\n
