The pupils from the village of Balasinesti, district of Briceni, aren’t cold anymore during their classes, because the school where they study had got thermopane doors and windows estimated at half a million lei, DECA-press informs.
\nThey were purchased in the framework of the project “Windows of our hope”, implemented by the Mayoralty from the locality and financed by the Department for the Relations with Worldwide Romanians (DRWR) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from Bucharest.
\nAccording to the mayor of the locality, Vasile Asimionesei, the work of replacing 124 windows and 16 doors was necessary to be performed, because the building of the institution is warmed with stoves, and the doors and windows, installed 47 years ago were broken and didn’t preserve the warmth in the classrooms. After the local authorities asked for help from the leaders of the district and the Government from Chisinau, the problem was sold due to the money provided by the Romanian state.
\nDRWR offered nearly 30 thousand Euros for the implementation of the project. This sum represents 90 percent of the total necessary sum of money. The rest of the funds were allocated by the mayoralty or from the parents and the teachers from the locality.
