The number of Moldovan citizens going abroad increased from one hundred thousand to four hundred thousand people in the last six years. The data are included in the survey Real Migration realized the International Migration Organization Representative in Moldova. <\/p>\n

The number of the emigrants evolved linearly, with no sign of slowing down. “The Moldovan emigrants tend to meet the problem of lack of work abroad. Formerly, most of them were having a job at their arrival already, many have were finding a job within two months, and 13% find a job in more than two months”, the experts say. <\/p>\n

At the same time, the survey shows, the migration process includes different illegal aspects, as the illegal frontier trespassing or illegal hiring. Among the problems the Moldovans meet abroad are: despotic treatment on behalf of the local police, disrespectful attitude or even violence, or labour exploitation. <\/p>\n

As many as 62% of Moldovans would leave Moldova for a period or for good, according to the Socio-Political Barometer from August 2007, realized by the Marketing and Surveys Institute IMAS-INC. <\/p>\n
