The persons with a lower income are more satisfied of their financial situation than those having medium and high incomes, National Feeling and Confidence survey shows, made public at a press meeting on Tuesday, July 17, 2007 by IDIS "Viitorul". <\/p>\n

The citizens having up to 2,500 lei (about 210 dollars) a month are satisfied of their salary, while those having a monthly income over 2.500 lei say this sum "does not guarantee a decent living", according to the survey results. <\/p>\n

If considering more factors, Chisinau residents are satisfied of their income, and register 11 points over the country average, which amounted to 103-104 points this year. But the situation is terrible in other territorial-administrative units, namely in the North, where the confidence index was very high so far", Economic Expert Viorica Rusu said. <\/p>\n

The area specialists explain the confidence index reduced in most of Moldova’s regions on the account of limited access to Europe in line with the introduction of the visa system in Romania, Russia’s interdictions for the foreigners, as well as the not uniform distribution of businesses on the country’s area. <\/p>\n

The North is characterized by high economic requirements and following the access to Europe and Russia’s interdictions, they had to suffer most, the experts say. <\/p>\n

The survey made among the youngsters aged 18-29 demonstrates the confidence index suddenly decreased from 135.5 points to 119.3. The experts refer this to some companies being barred by the government from offering legal jobs abroad to Moldovans. <\/p>\n

Another situation is registered for the 60-year-old people, whose confidence soared by ten points leveling 114.12 points in line with the 20% pension increase. <\/p>\n

The general economic situation in the country is satisfactory, but as in the last semester, we expect an increase of the inflation and of the prices for different kinds of services. Respectively, "the consumer’s confidence index may suffer changes", Economist Veaceslav Ionita has said. <\/p>\n
