Freedom House places Moldova in the category of countries in which the media is not free <\/p>\n

The Republic of Moldova is among the countries in which the media is not free, shows the report on "Media freedom in the world", made public on by the international organization Freedom House on Thursday. <\/p>\n

Moldova ranks 144th in the top of 195 countries. Armenia (142), the Russian Federation and Azerbaijan (164), Belarus (186), and Uzbekistan (187) are also among the countries in which the media is not free. <\/p>\n

Ukraine (122) and Georgia (120) rank in the category of countries with partially free media. <\/p>\n

The first places in the top of the "Freedom House" report, with a high index of media freedom, are Finland and Iceland, followed by Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Netherlands, and New Zealand. <\/p>\n
