Foreign citizens willing to participate in the 7-8 October National Wine Holiday will benefit from 30-day entry\/exit visas for Moldova free of charge. The government approved yesterday a draft law to this effect, which is to be submitted to parliament. <\/p>\n

The head of the department of visas and legalization within the Department of Consular Affairs at the Foreign and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE), Alexei Cracan, has told MOLDPRES that foreign guests will be issued free visas at the Moldovan diplomatic and consular missions abroad, and at the consular offices at the country’s borders: Chisinau International Airport, Leuseni, Cahul and Sculeni. <\/p>\n

Cracan said that citizens of the states that are required an invitation to apply for a Moldovan visa, will also be issued free visas, on condition that they submit the original invitation issued by the Bureau for Migration and Asylum within the Interior Ministry in line with the set procedure. \"\"<\/p>\n

Cracan stressed that this year the visas will be issued for 30 days against 15 days last year, in order to create favourable conditions for the foreign citizens’ stay in Moldova. <\/p>\n

The preferential visa regime in this period will enlarge possibilities to promote the Moldovan wines abroad, in order to diversify sales markets and woo foreign investments in Moldova. <\/p>\n

Usually, the cost of a 30-day visa for Moldova costs 40 dollars. An urgent visa amounts to 60 dollars.
