Moldovan parliamentary Chairman Dumitru Diacov and the leader of the Alliance “for Democracy and Reforms have had a meeting with the World Bank Mission, headed by Hafez Ganem, who arrived to Chisinau on a working visit, INTERLIC News agency reports.
\nSpeaker has informed the guests of the new reformatory laws, which has been lately approved by the Parliament and which has facilitated unblocking relations between the RM and international financial organizations. Dumitru Diacov has said that the ADR is going to foster Moldova’s fulfillment of its liabilities vis-a-vis these organizations, including the World Bank. He noted that the Parliament will support Ion Sturza’s government efforts in the process of speeding up the reforms, particular, the projects aimed at these objectives. <\/p>\n

Hafez Ganem announced that the World Bank appreciates very much the activities of the incumbent Moldovan Parliament that is testified by the release of the second tranche at $35 million for the RM. The head of the Mission has said that his visit to Chisinau is called forth by the need for studying the possibilities and conditions of granting another credit at $40million to Moldova. Moldova will probably receive a half of this credit this June.
