The Information and Security Service (ISS) will control the introduction and the use of the digital signature in Moldova. A certification center of high-level open keys has been set up on the basis of the Information and Security Service. It will provide access to digital signatures for economic entities, physical and juridical persons. <\/p>\n

Companies rendering digital signature services will set up their small certification centers. With their help, local and central authorities, private companies and simple citizens will be able to widely use new information technologies. <\/p>\n

An open key certificate is an electronic document which contains an open key signed by a center representative. <\/p>\n

The document certifies the belonging of a key to certificate holders. A digital signature gives a legal force to a document. <\/p>\n

The cost of the digital signature services is not known yet. <\/p>\n
