The heads of many foreign states have congratulated Moldovan President Vladimir Voronin and the people of the Republic of Moldova on the 15th independence anniversary. <\/p>\n

The President of the United States of America, George Bush, believes the Moldovan people have made considerable efforts to consolidate democracy in this republic, and have played a constructive role on the international arena. The National Day of Moldova, Bush wrote in his telegram, is demonstrating that Moldova has chosen a democratic way of development, and concentrates efforts to overcome new challenges in the future. The United States resolutely supports Moldova’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. America is by Moldova’s side at a time when Moldova is taking measures to build democracy and a dynamic market economy, to consolidate state institutions, and ensure a better life to all Moldovans. Conveying the warmest wishes of peace and prosperity on the American people’s behalf, George Bush expressed hope that the two countries will be further consolidating the American-Moldovan friendship. <\/p>\n

The President of the Czech Republic, Vaclav Klaus, expressed confidence that the friendly relations existing between the two countries will continue developing in the spirit of mutual understanding and cooperation. <\/p>\n

Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev expressed confidence that, being a solid basis of the bilateral inter-state relations, the traditional friendship and collaboration between Azerbaijan and Moldova will be further promoting the development and consolidation of bilateral relations in the interests of the prosperity of the 2 nations. <\/p>\n

Polish President Lech Kaczynski pointed out in his telegram of congratulation that over the years of its independence, the Republic of Moldova has become a reliable partner on the international arena, and a factor of stabilization of security on the European continent. <\/p>\n

Bulgarian President Georgii Pyrvanov expressed confidence the fruitful dialog between Bulgaria and Moldova will be further enhancing a dynamic development of the multifaceted Bulgarian-Moldovan cooperation based on mutual trust and common priorities in the 2 countries’ external policies. <\/p>\n

In his telegram to Voronin, Romanian President Traian Basescu highlighted Romania’s openness to consolidation of bilateral relations with the Republic of Moldova in conformity with citizens’ hopes and expectations. <\/p>\n
