At the second stage of the Rural Communities Development Program, the AGROinform national federation has already opened 13 winter schools for farmers. These best thirteen were selected through a contest held previously among 25 applicant schools. Two of the winner schools are intended for women, to help them develop their business talents. <\/p>\n

The education process at the schools will start next autumn, after harvest works are over. By that time, AGROinform will have provided for all necessary conditions for winter schools, study programs, visual aids, literature, etc. Main education objectives will be the studying of advanced experiences in open-air and greenhouse vegetable production, in grain and grape growing, horticulture, and animal husbandry. <\/p>\n

At the Program’s first stage realized last year, 14 such winter schools were organized that provided training to 140 persons, including 84 women. Initially, the Program was going to work 3 years, but later its realization was extended to 4 years. <\/p>\n
