Another three persons died of hypothermia during the last 24 hours. Of them two were found in an unheated house. <\/p>\n

According to the Emergency Situations Department, an old woman aged 71 and a young man aged 26 were found in their home by their neighbor. The two died because the home was not heated. The body of another man was found by his wife in an extension to the house. <\/p>\n

Sixteen persons died of hypothermia so far. In the mentioned period there were also reported cases of catching chilblains on extremities. <\/p>\n

Between 22-24 January, 15 villages from Leova, Cantemir, Causeni, Anenii Noi, Basarabeasca, Orhei and Floresti districts were disconnected from the power supply network. Twenty-two brigades worked to restore the electricity and the problem was fixed. <\/p>\n
