The plenary session of the Supreme Justice Court (SJC) proposed the appeal instances to intensify the judiciary control and methodological aid for thejudiciary instances.<\/p>\n

On Monday at the session of the SJC Plennum were examined the results of the 1998 years and the possibilities to improve the activity of judges. It wasdiscussed the aspect of abrogating some decisions of the SJC Plennum fromMoldova.<\/p>\n

Judiciary instances were explained who to apply laws in the cases opened onadministrative contraventions.<\/p>\n

Making the report of the judiciary activity for 1998, President of the SJCVictor Puscas mentioned that 12,883 out of 13,686 penal cases were examined.<\/p>\n

In general, 93,8% of the penal cases were heard, 92.7% of the civil cases,97.3% of the administrative cases, and 88.9% of the economic violations. Werefound guilty 15,782 persons, 7.2% more than in 1997.<\/p>\n
