Poverty, prices, unemployment, worry about children’s future, corruption and criminality continue to be the real problems the Moldovan people confront, according to the last Public Opinion Barometer survey presented on Friday. <\/p>\n

The main problem of over 60 percent of the Moldovan population is poverty, followed by the prices level (54%), worry for children’s future (45%), unemployment rate (41%), corruption (22%), criminality (16%) and poor health conditions (14%). <\/p>\n

Nearly 44 percent of the population is unsatisfied with the way of living, over 82% with the level of incomes, over 75% with the medical assistance, over 71% with the sanitation in settlements, about 70 % with the political situation in the country. <\/p>\n

Some 58.6 percent of respondents assert their life did not change compared with last year, while 21.9 percent consider they live better on 2004. As many as 40.8 percent of the interviewed say their incomes meet their standard necessities, while 28 percent state they cannot ensure event their minimum subsistence level. <\/p>\n

Asked if they could initiate a business without paying bribe to functionaries, more than half of the interviewed excluded this possibility. <\/p>\n
