The court of law started Tuesday to examine the evidence in the two counts of accusation brought against former defense minister Valeriu Pasat, who is charged with defrauding the state budget of over 51 million dollars as a result of a dubious transaction with military equipment. <\/p>\n

Gheorghe Amihalachioae, Pasat’s lawyer, told REPORTER.MD that the three sides involved in the trial started examining the evidence gathered on the two cases initiated on the name of his client. Amihalachioae specified that the examination of the documents will continue at the sitting set for November 16. <\/p>\n

Last week the law court heard Valeriu Pasat at two sittings. The defendant refused to answer the questions of the prosecution invoking “their aggressive tone”. <\/p>\n
