Last year our country was ranked the 117th among 146 surveyed countries, the index making up 2.3. This shows that Moldova made a slight progress in corruption prevention and combating. <\/p>\n<p>The survey reveals that CPI in Moldova exceeded the average index calculated for the CIS countries of 2.4. Moldova and Armenia have the best indexes among the CIS states. They are followed by Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine with 2.6. <\/p>\n<p>The same survey says that the average CPI for the European Union member countries is of 6.7, the highest scores being registered in Finland (9.7) and Denmark (9.6), the lowest ones in Poland (3.4) and Latvia (4.2).
