Virgil Ardelean, known as the Fox, is head of the General Information Department. He is the link between ex interior minister Ion Rus and present interior minister Vasile Blaga. This relationship between an outstanding member of PSD (the Social-Democrat Party) and one main member if PD (the Democrat Party) is not at all accidental and it has been implicitly confirmed by the very leader of the group on Cluj and by PSD leaders as well. In his interview to Mediafax, Rus admitted on Saturday that he had had several meetings with Vasile Blaga and they had talked about the set of laws on local public administration. Rus expressed appreciation for minister Blaga and regret that the party had disallowed him to attend the future reunion in Poiana Brasov. PSD president Mircea Geoana also confirmed the terms between Rus and Blaga yesterday, but he said it was due to Rus’s position as coordinator of the administration and internal affairs department in PSD. PSD denies political pact <\/p>\n

Even if it is most obvious that President Traian Basescu and PM Calin Popescu Tariceanu renounced the idea to revoke district council presidents during this mandate after agreement with PSD, Geoana denied it from the very beginning. PSD sources have claimed that both the Romanian President and the PM’s renunciation was in exchange to PSD’s consent to the fast revocation of Parliament presidents Nicolae Vacaroiu and Adrian Nastase. But Geoana denied this in a ridiculous manner: "In exchange we have promised that Parliament will pass the laws on the reform of local public administration fast. Serious people, Ion Rus included, can have real negotiations." The PSD leader accused the officials at rule of speaking double language. (…) <\/p>\n

Geoana also denied press speculation on an agreement between the Alliance and PSD so that the new regulation on Parliament Chambers should be urgently adopted and this way PSD would complaint to the Constitution Court against regulation points on the revocation of the two Parliament presidents. Blaga was in charge of the Customs Center in Oradea and Ardelean was police chief in Cluj <\/p>\n

As for the link between Blaga and Rus, the name of it is Virgil Ardelean. Sources have told ZIUA that in 1993-1996, when Blaga was in charge of the Customs Center in Oradea, Ardelean was around too, as police chief in Cluj and collector of information coming from customs points.
