\"\"The Gold Collection of the quality wine complex (IS CVC) Milestii-Mici, decreed recently as “National Treasury”, was officially recognized as the largest wine collection in the world and written in the Guinness Book. <\/p>\n

Mihai Maciuca, manager of IS CVC “Milestii Mici”, told Thursday the press that this is a premiere for Moldova which was not mentioned in the Guinness Book till now. He said this fact proves that such a small country as Moldova has a people that can create values of global dimensions. <\/p>\n

“I came up with the idea of registering the Gold Collection in the Guinness Book, but I succeeded in doing this with the help of the company “Indeprin” SRL (institute of intellectual property development),” Mr. Maciuca specified. <\/p>\n

The manager of IS CVC “Milestii Mici” said he regrets that the winemaking sector of Moldova is just briefly mentioned in the world wine encyclopedia. “We are a winemaking company ranking among the first 10 wine exporters of the world, but we are not recognized at international level. I hope that the registration in the Guinness Book will offer us this chance,” Maciuca emphasized. <\/p>\n

Eugen Stascov, manager of “Indeprin” SRL, stated in turn that the procedure of registering the record has lasted for almost a year, the Gold Collection including over 1.5 million bottles of collection wine. <\/p>\n

The wines from the collection, which comprises about 80-100 names, are of up to 20 years old. The oldest wine dates back to 1968. Red wines account for 70 percent of total wines included in the collection, the white wines and desert wines 20 and, respectively, 10 percent. The most expensive ones are “Morsala”, “Nectar”, "Roua diminetii”, “Trandafirul Moldovei”, made in 1973, 1975, 1978. They cost between 200 and 480 euros. <\/p>\n

This year, IS CVC “Milestii Mici” started to plant vine in order to ensure the enterprise with own raw material. In early September, the company got the quality management certificate “ISO-2001”. <\/p>\n

At present, the Gold Collection of “Milestii Mici” includes over 2 million bottles of wine. The underground wine town “Milestii Mici” has a length of over 200 kilometers and a depth of up to 80 meters.
