Info-Prim-Neo \/\/ “Euronova Media Grup” holding’s administration accuses the state leadership of ordering the Service of Information and Security (SIS) to check the holding’s financial activity, – reports Info-Prim-Neo. <\/p>\n

Valeriu Saharneanu, president of “Euronova Media Grup”, stated today (Monday) at a press conference that state administration structures started to harass this media group, probably in connection with the protests organized by holding’s member institutions for about 1.5 months. According to the cited source, SIS engaged in “throttling these media bodies ” and Service’s agents visited the banks where the radio and TV posts of this holding have opened accounts, taking their bank files. Also, by an order of SIS chief, the fiscal, justice, control and administrative bodies have been asked to make available for SIS all information on the holding’s activity. <\/p>\n

Saharneanu considers this interest in “Euronova” as groundless, exaggerated, threatening, totally against the European democratic spirit and the constitutional rights and liberties. The holding required from SIS director information on these accusations. At the same time, journalists demanded from Vladimir Voronin to require observance by state bodies of democratic principles, and from the Parliament – to examine the Moldovan independent media issue. <\/p>\n

Saharneanu’s statements have been confirmed by Efim Bardan, director of “Albasat TV” and “Euronova” posts, who said that he was invited on July 6 to meet in Nisporeni with the secrete services’ representatives. Veaceslav Tibuleac, directorul of “Vocea Basarabiei” radio station, declared that the Central Tax Inspectorate asked him to submit the fiscal documents, although it has already performed a control less than one year ago. After submitting the documents, they have been asked to leave them with the tax service for a week. “It is clear, concluded Tibuleac, that the documents were required in order to be submitted to another institution”. <\/p>\n
