After three weeks of picketing the Broadcasting Coordination Council (BCC) and Parliament, members of �Euronova Media Grup� Holding assert that they have a nice result but will continue the picketing actions during July currently. <\/p>\n

Director of �Vocea Basarabiei� radio station, part of "Euronova Media Grup" Holding, Veceaslav Tabuleac told REPORTER.MD that he is contended with the fact that at the meeting dated 14 June currently, regarding the distribution of the TV and radio frequencies, under the pressures of "Euronova Media Grup", BCC didn�t grant any license to foreign stations, fact that is an important step. <\/p>\n

�If we are backed by the guild colleagues and civil society, we will succeed in transforming this step into a norm, underlined Tabuleac. <\/p>\n

Referring to the report made public by BCC president Ion Mihailo, at the Parliament�s meeting from 16 June currently, Tabuleac said that the BCC�s method to distribute radio and TV frequencies is an inefficient one, many frequencies being unused till now. �That�s why we will continue to picket these institutions, until this procedure will be modified,� added Tabuleac. <\/p>\n

According to the report of BCC president Ion Mihailo, of those over 40 TV channels, which hold broadcasting license, only 3 do not rebroadcast foreign TV channels. <\/p>\n

The report reads also that in the period of activity of the present makeup of BCC, from August 2001 till May 2005, there were granted licenses for 17 autochthonous radio stations, all of them re-broadcasting foreign radio stations. Thus, 10 are rebroadcasting radio stations from Russia, 3 – from Romania, 2 � from Turkey and by one – from Ukraine and Bulgaria. <\/p>\n
