The consortium Euronova Media Grup solicits the Chisinau City Hall to prolong the authorisation for demonstrations near the headquarters of the electronic media watchdog CCA and the parliament of Moldova. <\/p>\n

Euronova Media Grup director-general Valeriu Saharneanu stated to BASA that the consortium has applied for a new authorisation of the Chisinau City Hall for protests near the parliament and CCA headquarters on July 1-29, seeking this way the prolongation of demonstrations for one more month. "We have solicited the continuation of protests because the authorities did not take any actions in this regard so far," Saharneanu noted. <\/p>\n

Sources in the Chisinau City Hall told BASA that the city hall administration is considering the request of the consortium and it will pass a decision in this regard this week. <\/p>\n

Representatives of the Moldovan Euronova Media Grup consortium, which brings together TV-Euronova, Albasat TV and Radio Vocea Basarabiei, demonstrate near the CCA and the parliament headquarters starting May 31. They accuse the CCA administration of intimidation, saying that it refuses to award a new broadcasting licence without any reasons.
