Police held two persons who were in direct touch with criminal leader “Bulgaru” <\/p>\n

Two active members of the “Bulgaru” criminal group who were in permanent connection with its leader, Grigore Caramalac, being internationally wanted, were detained by the police. <\/p>\n

Head of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Andrei Slutu told REPORTER.MD that Ivan Tulus, aged 39, and Ivan Bisir, aged 37, both of Bulgarian origin, inhabitants of Taraclia town, are accused of cheating a firm from Peresecina village, Orhei district, with half million US dollars. <\/p>\n

Those two got the illegal incomes as a result of a transaction performed with the firm “Vinurile Moldovei” from Peresecina, who delivered them bottled wine and raw production for sparkling wines to the value of about 500 Th. US dollars. The suspects succeeded, through the agency of the offshore firm “Midwest Project Limited”, in laundering 354 Th. dollars. <\/p>\n

Slutu specified that upon combing the houses of those two accused, there were detected weapons and munitions kept illegally, money, bank cards and documents that confirmed their involvement in fiscal evasions and money laundering. <\/p>\n

Upon investigations, it was established that those two suspects were in permanent touch with the group’s leader Grigore Caramalac, alias “Bulgaru”, being internationally wanted. By the means of the unidentified telephone channels, they received indications from “Bulgaru”, and money got from illegal activities was sent to the criminal leader.
