An initiative group made up of inhabitants of Chisinau municipality seeks stopping building constructions that are not performed according to the legislation�s stipulations.<\/p>\n

Lodgers of a block on Dacia boulevard of the capital stated Thursday at a press conference that near the block where they live there is being constructed another building, at only 6 m distance. �But, according to the legislation in force, the distance between the blocks must be of 25 meters. Nobody asked for our consent as regards the construction of this building that is supposed to be a dwelling block for certain state functionaries,� underlined the protagonists of the press conference.<\/p>\n

The initiative group also asserts that till now they couldn�t find out who the block�s owner is and "even the police do not know who is responsible for performing the construction works."<\/p>\n

President of �Consumers� Protection� Association, Petru Gutul mentioned in his turn that at the beginning of the current week, the organization addressed a letter to Premier Vasile Tarlev, in which it asked for stopping the construction works which were not agreed with the nearby blocks� loDgers.<\/p>\n
