The Christian Democrats argued their decision through the fact that if tariffs aren&rsquo;t increased, the urban transport of the capital could go bankrupt. They sought from the municipal counselors not to tackle this subject through the angel of the elections from 10 July currently. <\/p>\n<p>In their turn, the communist counselors declared themselves against the tariff increase, specifying that the last rise in the price of fuel is not a sufficient reason for this. <\/p>\n<p>Counselors on the part of Our Moldova Alliance faction stated that the issue of increasing the tariffs on urban transport was not examined in all its complexity, the creation of a framework of the expenses covered by the Trolleybus Park, Bus Park and minibus owners being needed in this respect. <\/p>\n<p>The leader of the social-democratic faction created on Tuesday in CMC, Ilya Bagdasarov said he would vote for the tariff increase if the maxi-taxi drivers were imposed to transport the same number of passengers as that of the seats registered in the technical certificate, and if the minibuses circulated only on the right side of the road, without overtaking the means of transport on the other traffic line. <\/p>\n<p>After CMC took this decision, director of the Urban Bus Park (UBP), Anatol Gheorghita told the press that the situation is very complicated, but UBP will try to continue unfolding its activity on the basis of the reserves. &ldquo;During the month, we will be compelled to reduce the number of some routes, because we spent daily 25-30 Th. lei, so that the losses amount to 300 Th. lei per month, just for fuel,&rdquo; underlined Gheorghita. <\/p>\n<p>In his turn, Iurie Topal, administrator of a number of minibus routes, qualified the situation as catastrophic. &ldquo;If the minibuses that circulate on the central streets still have profits, the other ones work at a loss.
