A group of priests together with the Bishop of Cahul and Comrat, His Holiness Anatolie, will bring the Holy Fire from Jerusalem to Chisinau on Saturday evening, 30 April.<\/p>\n

Asked by REPORTER.MD Agency, secretary of the Metropolitan Church of Moldova, priest Vadim Cheibas stated that the group of priests will go to the Holy Land on Saturday morning to attend the Miracle of the Holy Spirit�s Descent at the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem. <\/p>\n

The group of priests will return to Chisinau on Saturday evening and the Ceremony of the Holy Fire will be officiated in front of �The God�s Birth� Cathedral from Chisinau. Traditionally, the fire will be shared out among the faithful and clergymen that will carry it to the holy places from the whole country. <\/p>\n

According to the orthodox tradition, on Passion Easter Weekend, the faithful gather in large groups in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem, as on this day �the fire descends from the sky and switches on the lamps from the Church.� The Miracle of the Holy Fire is considered by the Orthodox Church as �the greatest of all the Christian miracles�. It takes place every year, on the same date, in the same way and in the same place. The Christians assert that this fire doesn�t burn and doesn�t scorch. <\/p>\n
