Public Organization “Promo-Lex” and the farmers and inhabitants of Dubasari district intend to picket the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Chisinau and to protest in front of the OSCE’s headquarters. <\/p>\n

According to a statement released by “Promo-Lex”, "profiting by the fact that the land is the only source of income for the inhabitants of Dorotscaia, Parata, Cocieri, Corjova, Molovata, Cosnita and Pohrebea villages, these are forced by the separatist regime to conclude land-lease contracts with the Dubasari administration that is under Tiraspol’s control. <\/p>\n

The cited source informs that the intention to organize the picket is based on the Decision of the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, according to which the Russian Federation was found guilty of violation of human right in the Transdniestrian region. Another reason is the fact that Russia avoids influencing the separatist regime to respect the obligations assumed by signing different documents. <\/p>\n

Despite the Unified Control Commission’s decision from last Friday according to which Transdniestria was to ensure the free movement of the farmers, the Transdniestrian militia and custom-house officers of the customs checkpoint from the vicinity of Dorotscaia village continue to hinder natives’ access to their own agricultural lands. <\/p>\n

If the situation persists, on behalf of all the farmers and inhabitants of the region “Promo-Lex” will make an approach to the Mayoralty of Chisinau municipality to be authorized to picket Russia’s Embassy,” specifies the source. <\/p>\n
