\"\"The first lesson conducted in the education institutions on 10 May will be a lesson of peace, dedicated to the victory over fascism. Second World War veterans, and widows of participants in the war will participate in the lesson, incumbent Deputy Premier Valerian Cristea has said. <\/p>\n

Cristea and Incumbent Culture Minister Veaceslav Madan presented reports within a today working meeting presided over by President Vladimir Voronin. The participants considered the situation of monuments of military glory and Moldovan culture institutions. <\/p>\n

Cristea said the governmental commission charged with organizing festivities dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the victory over fascism, has decided to give 1,000 lei to each participant in the war, and their widows – 500 lei. All the country’s museums will stage exhibitions on the event, and the entry will be free of charge. A solemn meeting of all the veterans will be conducted at the National Palace on 8-9 May. <\/p>\n

Referring to the military glory monuments, Cristea said the situation in the districts of Anenii Noi, Stefan Voda and Rezina is the most difficult. "There are many monuments that need capital repairs and we will not manage to do it until 9 May", Cristea said. <\/p>\n

Voronin criticized severely the report, and the government’s activity to this end. "Our attitude towards the monuments of military glory is the attitude we have towards the future. The governmental commission carried out a giant work, and the results were presented at the end of last August, but none of the respective monuments has been repaired", Voronin said. <\/p>\n

Madan said there are 2,227 resting houses in villages, and only 567 of them are in satisfactory condition, 536 resting houses need to be repaired, and another 118 are very deteriorated. <\/p>\n

Voronin criticized strongly the Culture Ministry’s activity, and particularly Madan’s activity to this end. "Culture cannot appear out of nothing, it should have a basis. We should create new models of libraries, with computers connected to the Internet. It is our duty to create conditions for the young people to want to remain in the village", Voronin also said. <\/p>\n

The head of state called on the government to submit proposals dealing with remuneration of culture employees. <\/p>\n
