Two criminal police officers of the Bender Police Commissariat were detained Tuesday by Transdniestrian security services, being accused of committing a number of offences, including kidnappings. <\/p>\n

Inspector of Bender town, Valerii Prudnicov told REPORTER.MD that those two police officers, Denis Solonenco and Vasili Chiriacov, were arrested while going to work. <\/p>\n

The wives of those two police officers found out about their husbands’ detention when the employees of the so-called ministry of state security came to search their houses. "Thus we also found out about this case”, mentioned Prudnicov. <\/p>\n

The quoted source asserts that those two policemen are incriminated “actions that they didn’t commit, such as kidnappings". <\/p>\n

Previously they were employees of the Transdniestrian militia, and then they have worked for the Bender Police Commissariat. <\/p>\n

“Solonenco and Chiriacov were summons to the Transdniestrian special services to cooperate with them as informers, but as they refused the authorities forged acts that show the involvement of those two policemen in illegal actions, so as to demonstrate to the international community that the security and law enforcement bodies in the zone work efficiently,” asserts the inspector. <\/p>\n

Prudnicov couldn’t confirm if there was a connection between this case and the detention by the police bodies from Chisinau of a group of persons from the left bank of the Dniester involved in a case of kidnapping a British citizen.
