The Prime Minister Iurie Leanca stated that unification with Romania is not on the agenda of Moldova, which needs external messages able to unite the society, not to divide it, notes the News Agency Agerpres.<\/p>\n

It was the comment of the Moldovan official for Antena 3 channel, on the assertion of the Romanian President Traian Basescu, according to which the next major project of Romania, after joining NATO and the European Union, must be unification with Moldova.
\nIurie Leanca noted earlier that this statement creates "crucial problems" for Moldova. "I would like to add that we live in a very dynamic world, even turbulent. I refer not only to the situation in Moldova, but also to the developments in the post-Soviet space, or it is enough to mention the countries members of the Eastern Partnership. We see developments or setbacks in some countries in the region – Armenia, a very complicated situation in Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Therefore today we, those in Moldova who demonstrated ability, will, determination to achieve the goal of European integration, which is the only solution, with no other alternative to transform Moldova into a functional European country, we need an external messages to unite the Moldovan society, and not vice versa, to create some divisions", Iurie Leanca said.<\/p>\n

According to Moldovan Premier, following the statement made by Traian Basescu, in the southern Moldova, where Gagauz minority lives, "some elements that could destabilize the situation immediately appeared".<\/p>\n

There are also statements of MPs of the Russian Duma on "the need to strengthen military presence" in the eastern part of Moldova. Also, the Moldovan communist opposition "transforms the Parliament into circus”.<\/p>\n

"The only national goal of Moldova is the European integration. For this reason, I very much hope that in the future, we can channel all this support for this goal at the level of statements, but particularly by concrete actions", Moldovan Prime Minister stated.<\/p>\n

On Monday, the head of Moldovan Government undertook a visit to Bucharest, where he met with Romanian Prime Minister Victor Ponta and took part in the Government’s meeting.
