The initialed text of the Association Agreement, including the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area will be made public next week. The information was confirmed for Publika TV by Natalia Gherman, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, who is currently in Vilnius.<\/p>\n

According to her, the content of the Agreement should not surprise any parliamentary factions because even opposition parties from the Moldovan Parliament voted in favor of negotiating the text with the EU. The head of the Moldovan diplomacy added that the lawmakers were constantly informed about each step made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.<\/p>\n

“Before the initialing procedure the Ministry of Foreign Affairs presented the final negotiated draft [of the Association Agreement] before the Moldovan lawmakers,” Natalia Gherman said.<\/p>\n

Communist MPs previously called on the Government to publish the content of the Association Agreement in order to open a public debate.<\/p>\n

Natalia Gherman, together with an entire team of diplomatic staff, is currently attending the Vilnius Eastern Partnership Summit.
