Germany is a steady supporter of Moldova’s European integration and hopes that the Association Agreement with the EU will be initialed at the Eastern Partnership Summit in November this year.<\/p>\n

In a comment for Moldova.ORG, a spokesperson of the German Federal Foreign Office said that the signature of the Association Agreement would be a “milestone in the EU-Moldova relations.”<\/p>\n

“Germany supports Moldova’s commitment to EU rapprochement and its political will to undertake the reforms this entails,” the spokesperson said.<\/p>\n

He added that reforms should continue and they are important in order to achieve the expected goal – an economic integration with the 28-countries block.<\/p>\n

“The implementation of the necessary reforms is essential. We hope that the Association Agreement can be initialed at the Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius end of November 2013. This would be a milestone in EU-Moldovan relations,” the spokesperson stressed.<\/p>\n
