Slovakia opened its diplomatic mission to Chisinau on Tuesday. Slovakian Foreign Minister, Miroslav Laj\u010dák came to Moldova to participate at the official inauguration of the embassy.<\/p>\n

Moldovan Prime Minister, Iurie Leanca said that the opening of the Slovakian embassy in Chisinau sends a clear message of solidarity and support to the Moldovan people. He stated that based on the common history of the two countries, Moldova is interested in undertaking the Slovakian experience on tackling issues, such as corruption, reforming the judiciary and generating new jobs.<\/p>\n

The European Union member state has been an important supporter of Moldova’s EU integration. In the last three years, Slovakia granted more than one million Euro for agriculture, migration and banking sector projects.<\/p>\n

The Slovak Foreign Minister said that Moldova is the only country that will benefit primary from their support.<\/p>\n

“The Republic of Moldova will be among the first three priority countries to receive support from the Slovak Government from the Assistance for Development Fund and is the only European country which will enjoy our support primary,” Miroslav Laj\u010dák said.<\/p>\n

The Slovak official said his country is interested in bolstering the economic ties with Moldova by making investments here. Therefore, he invited Premier Iurie Leanca to visit Bratislava to initiate talks in this regard.<\/p>\n
