Political parties in Moldova will be entitled to receive financial support yearly from Government. The parties registered at the Ministry of Justice will get money via Central Electoral Commission and the amount will be calculated based on the State Budget Law for that year.<\/p>\n

The allowance will not exceed 0.2% of the total income of the budget for respective year.<\/p>\n

Moldovan legislation envisages the financing of political parties by both the state and private income sources.<\/p>\n

The Venice Commission welcomed the decision taken by Government on Wednesday. However, the institution comes with further recommendations to improve the bill. They suggest excluding the article which stipulates that unused funding during the electoral campaign should become the ownership of the candidate after election.
