Former Prime Minister Vlad Filat, appealed to the European Court of Human Rights the ruling of the Constitutional Court, according to which he was forbidden to run for another term as prime minister. He told during a TV program that he appealed to the ECHR because his rights were violated.<\/p>\n

During the same TV program, the former Prime Minister confirmed that he had a meeting yesterday with the MP Vlad Plahotniuc, who came to Liberal Democratic Party’s office to ensure that he has nothing to do with the Constitutional Court ruling.<\/p>\n

We recall that on Monday evening, the Constitutional Court claimed that the reappointment of Vlad Filat as acting Premier is an illegal act. The Court asked the President to appoint another acting Premier. The next day President Timofti appointed the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Iurie Leanca, as acting Prime Minister.
