After the U.S. Congress exempted Moldova from the Jackson-Vanik Amendment<\/a> at the end of 2012, the United States of America expects a more favorable investment climate in Moldova, so that the American investors are able to bring their businesses here.<\/p>\n

U.S. Ambassador to Chisinau, William Moser said on Monday in a talk show at Pro TV Chisinau that a fundamental requirement is the application of the fiscal legislation. According to him, all foreign businessmen want to be sure they fully understand what the legal framework of the country is, so that they can work fearless.<\/p>\n

“It is a real discouragement for a business to act in country where it takes too long to get an authorization or you have to bribe to get it. No businessman will ever invest in a country where there is corruption,” William Moser said.<\/p>\n

He pointed out that transparency in all actions is needed. Moreover, the Ambassador added that the Moldovan Government has done some reforms in this field, but much remains to be done.<\/p>\n

William Moser ironically said that Moldova needs larger investments and less big houses.
