President of Moldova, Nicolae Timofti announced on Friday that a Prime Minister will be nominated by April 1. The head of state is currently conducting negotiations with all parliamentary groups. However, the Communists refused to meet the President. They claim that early elections are the best solution for the country.<\/p>\n

Nicolae Timofti mentioned that it is unlikely that a candidate will be identified earlier than the end of the month.<\/p>\n

“We have agreed that a decision will be made by April 1. If any solutions will emerge before then, we will announce them publicly, but I believe it is unlikely,” Nicolae Timofti said.
\nThe ruling coalition is also under negotiations regarding the establishment of the new Government.<\/p>\n

The Moldovan executive was ousted on March 5th amid no-confidence vote. Communist Party, which led the initiative and voted in favor, calls on early elections now. Some other parliamentary groups are against the nominalization of former Premier Vlad Filat for the position of Prime Minister in the next Government.<\/p>\n
