Being in Moldova these days, Gunther Krichbaum, the chairman of Germany’s European Affairs Committee urges the authorities to make sure they preserve the stability of the country to promote the structural reforms initiated and continue the modernization process of Moldova.<\/p>\n

Meeting Moldovan Foreign Minister Iurie Leanca, the German official said that Moldova has achieved a “remarkable progress” being able to come into prominence compared to the other states of the Eastern Partnership.<\/p>\n

His call comes amid no-confidence vote against the Government that is planned for today. This was initiated by the Communist Party.<\/p>\n

51 votes are needed to remove the Government. All 34 Communist deputies signed the proposal. The Democrats (15 votes) said they are very likely to support the Communists’ initiative and vote in favor, whereas the Liberal Party (12 votes) and Liberal-Democrat Party (31 votes) said they will not support the no-confidence vote. There are nine more independent lawmakers.<\/p>\n

Premier Vlad Filat presented a report of activity in Parliament today. After his speech, some deputies asked him to resign, otherwise they will vote to remove the entire cabinet.  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
