He develops three major points, mainly stating that Moldova is not attractive to the separatists.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">&ldquo;Moldova does not represent a stable political pattern for the Transnistrian region,&rdquo; Aurelian Lavric writes. He points out that Moldova could not elect a president for two years and six months and that the current president is not present at &ldquo;important moments when he should fulfill his responsibilities.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">According to Lavric, who quotes the Constitution, the president should be a &ldquo;guarantor of state unity.&rdquo; Without his involvement in the most critical aspects of the socio-political life of the country, his lack of contribution is &ldquo;a hindrance to the prospective option of the population from the Transnistrian region to become again part of the Republic of Moldova.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">He emphasizes that the regular dissensions within the ruling coalition &ndash; the Alliance for European Integration (AEI) &ndash; make the country even less attractive to those residing on the left bank of the Nistru River.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">&ldquo;The Republic of Moldova is not a [good] social model for the Transnistrian population,&rdquo; Aurelian Lavric continues. &ldquo;The pensions are larger there [in Transnistria], whereas the taxes and prices of all goods and services are lower. Therefore, people living there will not be willing to (re)integrate in a state which will not guarantee them better living conditions when retiring in comparison to the facilities offered now.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The political expert argues that some have the feeling that the Transnistrian administration is supporting the population, while in Moldova the people help to enrich the economic clans.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Last but not least, the author of the opinion piece believes that Moldova is not even a worthwhile economic model for Transnistria.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">&ldquo;The monopoles led by economic clans determine the economy to develop toilsomely, which makes the prices of goods and services increase more than those in Transnistria,&rdquo; Aurelian Lavric points out.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">He concludes that there is an incompatibility between Moldova and the Transnistrian region.
