Moldovan Prime Minister, Vlad Filat, will meet Evgheny Shevchuk, the leader from Tiraspol, the so-called capital of Transnistria, on Sunday, January 27. The meeting is planned to take place in Odessa, in the Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Ukrainian Foreign Minister, Leonid Kozhara, who came to Chisinau on Monday said that he welcomes the resumption of the 1+1 negotiations between Moldova and Transnistria. He added that the meeting in Odessa at the end of this week had been previously planned by the former Ukrainian Foreign Minister, Konstantin Grishchenko.<\/p>\n

Vlad Filat and Evgheny Shevchuk have had private meetings before. In June 2012, the two leaders travelled to Germany where they participated at a conference that was kept away from cameras and microphones.<\/p>\n

Some other informal meetings took place at football matches in Tiraspol, as well as at Lara Fabian and Julio Iglesias concerts in Chisinau. Moreover, together the officials visited the Mountain of Athos in Greece. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
