Romania is developing a strategy of pre-adherence of Moldova to the European Union, the press office of the Romanian Foreign Ministry said on Friday. In this regard, Romania and France will co-chair a reunion of the Informal Group of Support at the EU level during the upcoming spring in Brussels. The meeting will focus on Moldova’s efforts to get closer to the European Union.<\/p>\n

“We already consider our relations with the Republic of Moldova in a pre-adherence logic. Our joint project of strategic significance is supporting the European way of Chisinau,” Romanian Foreign Minister Titus Corlatean said in Bucharest during a meeting with his Moldovan counterpart Iurie Leanca.<\/p>\n

The Romanian diplomacy is oriented towards a “full support” for the ongoing projects between Moldova and the European Union. Titus Corlatean emphasized that Romania advocates for signing the Association Agreement between Moldova and EU in November 2013, asking the EU to offer Moldova “a clear European perspective.”  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
